So I think the proper way is that to experience Dukkha and then unerstand its reason first.

Agreed fully. It is the essence of Ven. Pannavaro message in the booklet, "Vipassana Bhavana – Meditasi Mengenal Diri". Don't fight 'atta' with the doctrine of 'anatta'.

To 'understand' "anatta" from a doctrine is like nourishing "atta" with an idea of "understanding anatta". By being mindful of "atta", knowing its source, and its cessation, is the way to understand "anatta". "Anatta" is somewhere far-far away, whereas "atta" is evident here and now. Of course we have to start with things "here and now" not "far-far away". Likewise we start with dukkha, not (illusion of) cessation of dukkha a.k.a. happiness.

Yes, dukkha is always there to recognize. And the moment one recognize dukkha fully, one also understands the causes of dukkha, which is the me (atta).
So "anatta" is out of question. It is just another doctrine to be grasped at by the me (atta).
